A lot of us have decided to welcome new puppies into our homes over the past couple of years – Kennel Club figures show dog ownership soared almost 8% when the pandemic hit and demand for four-legged friends after the lockdown remains high.

One of the trickier perspectives for new owners is making sure their new pet is quickly toilet trained – knowing they have to go outside to relieve themselves.
