About the Author:

Susan Lynch has trained and competed with her Golden Retrievers for over twenty years and has been an active member of the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA) and the Yankee Golden Retriever Club (YGRC) since 1995. She previously served on the Yankee Golden Retriever Board of administration of the club from 2008 to 2016 in the roles of director, vice-president and president. His knowledge base covers competitive and non-competitive American Kennel Club sports, including hunt tests, field trials, obedience trials, and conformation shows. Additionally, four of his dogs were active therapy dogs and certified by Therapy Dogs International.

In 2021, Susan received the Rachel Page Elliott Featherquest Lifetime Achievement Award from the GRCA for her contributions to puppy education through Life with Rune, a Facebook group and community she founded. In Life with Rune, Susan demonstrates puppy socialization and training techniques that are essential from eight weeks to twelve months. Susan is on a mission to use her extensive experience and expertise in dog training and her personal journey through loss to support grieving families by showing them the power and depth of canine companionship during trauma.
