The 2022 NFL Draft is shaping up to be three teams: the New York Giants, New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles.
The Giants and Jets will have a pair of top-10 picks. The Eagles will have a pair in the top 20 after their successful pre-draft trade with the New Orleans Saints.
Here’s what NFL.com predicted in its latest first-round simulation.
Jets
The Jets have a pair of first-round picks in 2022: their own, plus one from the Seattle Seahawks in the Jamal Adams trade.
4. Kayvon ThibodeauxEDGE, Oregon
Thibodeaux is an interesting player with many top traits.
10. (from the sea) Derek Stingley Jr.CB, LSU
Give the Jets the cover man who very well could have been the top CB on the board in the 2020 draft had he been eligible.
giants
The Giants have a pair of first-round picks in 2022: their own, plus one from the Chicago Bears as part of the deal that sent Justin Fields to Windy City and Kadarius Toney to the Big Apple.
5. Charles CrossOT, State of Mississippi
Cross is the best PFF player available and gives Big Blue a high quality tackle in front Andrew Thomas.
7. (from CHI) Trent McDuffieBC, Washington
McDuffie is as technically sound as any prospect in this class.
Eagles
The Eagles are sitting on two first-round picks: one from the Miami Dolphins in the DeVonta Smith trade and one from the New Orleans Saints in their massive trade of multiple first-round selections.
15. (from MIA) Tyler LinderbaumC, Iowa
Jason Kelce is back for another season, but it feels like a callback for the 12-year-old and five-time Pro Bowler.
18. (of NO) Nakobe DeanLB, Georgia
Dean would provide an instant injection of alpha dog talent to this defense.
